Daiwa’s Certate SW Spinning Reel shares it’s Monocoque (MQ) body with the famous 20 Saltiga. The single-piece body removes the requirement of a traditional side plate and screw system, replacing that with an engine plate that houses the incredibly large G1 Duralumin drive gear, also shared with the 20 Saltiga. This body & gear combination was what put 20 Saltiga on the map and is sure to set Certate SW right at the top of the tree when it comes to strength and power.
Equipped with a ZAION rotor design, Certate SW is lightweight and strong. ZAION’s lightweight construction makes the rotation of Certate SW incredibly light & responsive. Certate SW comes equipped with a Magseal line roll and Magseal body, which combined with the MQ construction means that Certate SW is supremely well sealed to the elements, giving anglers the confidence that Certate SW will not let them down, Certate Sw’s multi layer carbon drag delivers ten times increased drag durability. The washer design combined with the aluminum radiation drag knob increases heat dissipation improving drag performance under heavy loads.

Affordable and reliableWorked as expected. Paired it with a 9′ daiwa presso ultralight rod. Handled an 8 pound commo carp with ease. (Model: Penn Fierce III 1000 spooled with 4 pound P line).

Works great. One of my new favorites. I didn’t know how big the 4000 actually was but it’s about as large as you’d want for fresh water fishing. You could pull in 15lb fish all day with this.

If your familiar with Kastking, you won’t be disappointed. I can only compare it to the Kastking Crixus baitcaster reel, and on every level it’s just as good and it’s even lighter. Very smooth, and the magnetic setting wheel was a brilliant idea, it is very convenient. For this price point, it honestly competes to any mid range baitcasters, and beats any super cheap reels. I would say it would be a great purchase for a beginner, but I’m 100% sure even vet anglers will enjoy this, it don’t feel cheap, super solid quite reel.

Excellent reel for what I need, it is lightweight, has very good drag force, ideal for what we normally fish here in Sinaloa. I would definitely buy it again.

I moved to the state of Washington and needed a setup for Salmon fishing. I chose this reel PENN Fierce III Reel, Red, Black, 4000 and an 7.5′ Ugly Stick. It has performed flawlessly. My first Salmon was a King in the first picture. It took me 25 minutes to get in and the reel performed great. The drag was perfect. This Chinook was a fighter. Heck all the Coho and Chinooks. I have caught more than the pictures and this reel is a 5 star real.

I just like Penn reels. I have never had this style before and am going to try the line holding feature. I have not had the opportunity to use it for fishing yet. I am hoping to use it next week on catfish. The reel seems to be well built.
