This is a great reel for bait fishing. You no longer have to worry about a big fish taking your rod and reel into the water (This has happened to me before)! You don’t have to worry about your line coming off the reel if you bait fish with an open bail. The secondary drag will start clicking once a fish starts taking the bait. Flip the switch or simply start reeling to switch over it the primary drag. the drag is also very smooth and the spool is superline ready. Love this reel!

Very nice reel, very smooth and casts very well, easy to set up if you are familiar with baitcasters. I took it apart and cleaned oiled and greased it before using and internally it is the same as my KastKing Royal Legend 2 which has been excellent. Another good thing is it cost $20.00 less than the KastKing which makes it a screamin hot deal. Oh and #2 is already on the way!

I love these reels. I have 2 of them, a 5000 and an 8000. The 8000 is an absolute beast. I have caught a variety of good sized stingrays, red drums, and smaller sharks (36 to 42 inches) with it. The drag is strong and very smooth to reel.

Love the feel and size of the reel but the way the handle connects to the reel itself is incredibly annoying. While holding tension it has a tendancy to loosen and obviously i dont want to over tighten the handle onto the reel risking stripping
