Created with the help of two career Army officers from Fort Lewis, Washington, the USA-made Fort Lewis is FORSCOM approved and loaded with all the features a warrior or law enforcement professional needs. A cushioning Vibram Kletterlift outsole fights fatigue on long marches. Made of a specialized dry ice compound, the outsole remains flexible in extreme cold to aid slip resistance. The full-grain leather upper and GORE-TEX lining keeps the boot waterproof. Danner’s famous stitchdown construction gives a more stable platform underfoot and superior durability.Built from bottom to top in Danner’s Portland Oregon factory.
How it fits: The 650 last offers a sleek, slender profile with a more narrow fit. Boots on this last tend to fit those with a more narrow foot better than those with a wider foot. This ensures a snug fit for terrain and activities that demand support and stability. If you do have a wider foot, Danner recommends ordering an “EE” (wide) in this style.

These boots fit true to my size. There is a break-in period as they hurt my feet after a full day in them. Now i where a thicker sock and they feel awesome. My only issue is the zipper’s don’t operate smoothly and get stuck a lot. Have to fiddle around with them to zip up and down. I try not to get too aggressive with them as they don’t seem to be the highest quality. They are lightweight and offer decent traction. I would purchase again.

Comfort- 7/10 i got pretty spoiled with my irish setters but my feet grew a size so i needed something bigger and i didn’t feel like spending a ton of money again. I have a very wide 14 and there is plenty of room. Looks- 8/10 they look good but again they are pretty large. That’s to be expected but they make my large feet look even bigger. Warmth- 9/10 i haven’t been able to really test them hunting or ice fishing but i did put them on for a bit outside in 16° weather. They seem pretty warm so far. I doubt something with this much insulation won’t be warm though.

I really like these boots. They look good and were the perfect height for someone who likes to wear their pants legs in their boots and boot fits great.

The most notable thing I noticed through other reviews is that people said they arent really waterproof. I plan to nip that in the bud just in case and coat them a few times with nikwax.
