Over ten years ago, Danner released the very first Quarry work boot. Since then, it has become a staple for workers around the country. And now, for the first time, they have brought manufacturing of the Quarry, using imported parts, to their Portland, Oregon, factory, at the same time making major improvements to its comfort and durability. The Vibram Quarry Fire & Ice outsole provides superior traction in extreme cold and hot environments , this exclusive outsole that features a 90º heel, an oil- and slip- resistant rubber compound, and a non-linear lug pattern for superior traction and debris release. Danner updated the collar liner to be instantly comfortable and re-engineered the placement of the triple-stitching to reduce wear and tear over time. Handcrafted to provide a wider platform, Danner’s legendary stitchdown construction offers increased stability underfoot. The stitchdown construction allows this boot to be recrafted for years of use. 400-gram Thinsulate Ultra high-performance insulation keeps you warm without weighing you down. Made in USA with imported components.
How is fits: The 610 is Danner’s most universal last and can be worn by all foot shapes and sizes. It provides a snug fit through the heel while allowing ample toe room for most versatile fit. This allows more support and side-to-side movement.
Safety Rating:
- Meets or exceeds ASTM F2892-11 EH. Electrical hazard (EH) footwear is manufactured with non-conductive electrical shock resistant soles and heels.
- Non-metallic toe does not transmit heat or cold. Nor will it set off metal detectors. As expected, it meets or exceeds ASTM F2413-11 M I/75 C/75 EH standards.

Product fit true to size. Takes some time to get on and off but that’s expected. For those saying it’s not waterproof, I’ve used these several times standing in creeks for 15+ minutes while fishing and they have worked as described. Wading into 12 inch or deeper water I noticed that the right boot leaks very slowly (very slow drips of water leak in towards the upper portion of the zipper), but there has been absolutely no leakage in water under 12 inches in depth. I am extra cautious to tighten down the boots eyelet by eyelet, and I imagine that others who had waterproof issues were not tightening down the boots so well. I recommend taking the few extra minutes to cinch down the laces good and I don’t think there will be any significant leakage.

These boots r very warm and they keep ur feet dry as well but here is the fall back I’ve gone through a pair of shoe laces for every week I’ve had these boots

I wanted a pair of boots to back up my Bean boots for winter weather. I took these on a 1-hour walk, along gravel and some uphill, and right out of the box they were comfortable and I had no issues. We had recent snow and I was able to test them out. I had bought a pair of snow chains for shoes, and they fit over these boots. I like that they don’t retain snow, it falls off easily. Definitely a great addition to the winter wardrobe lineup.

Let me start out by saying these things are HUGE! I knew they were pretty tall but they are about as high as my muck boots (3/4 of the way up my calf).

Product is a little tight but I know this will go away with use are not uncomfortable by any means to me and I wear an 11 I ordered an 11 normal medium whatever you call it. I’ve had them on for a couple hours now this inside the house walking around and they don’t seem to bother me at all and they’re very comfortable and they’re not too hot. I will say this if I was up in the cold weather land I would have needed to order a wider size to accommodate very thick socks. On that note I would have ordered insulated . l would purchase again

Seems to be pretty good quality. Size is a little snug with winter socks. I only had it out once this season but it kept my feet warm.

Thought I was going to miss the Boot Pull straps, but after wearing this unusually soft made upper design, no help needed they come off and on mush easier then expected. Make sure you “guide” the soft material under the Side Zipper until you train it to stay out of the way of the zipper. Great Boots so far , have Not had a snake bit me YET I’m sure they test that , hope I never get the chance.
