The Grey Ghost Gear Ruck Sack Kit is the next evolution in Grey Ghost’s military issue large ALICE Pack. The Ruck Sack Kit brings many modern improvements to the decades old ALICE Pack… along with the GGG flair you’ve come to expect in a signature ruck. Constructed from 500 denier Cordura Nylon with reinforcing on the high stress areas of the pack, eight exterior pouches, plus a claymore pocket on the top of the flap with an additional zippered mesh pocket underneath.
Speaking of zippers, all of the exterior pouches have weather resistance built in, with drainage grommets in the bottom just in case you left a zipper open in a hurricane. The main compartment can be accessed either by unbuckling and lifting the top flap, or by opening the backdoor that’s zippered in the back just above the carry handle. Hook and loop panels are available for personal identification, but that’s not all. Extremely generous foam padding in the shoulder straps and waist belt ensure you can strap her down tight and still hoof a heavy load in comfort thanks to the included frame, straps and belt. With a total volume of around 5200 cubic inches, you’ll appreciate the added comfort when it’s loaded to capacity on your next ruck.

This pack can hold a moderate amount and the organization of internal pouches are great. The bow/rifle holder works very well too with some adjustment with the straps. The blaze orange rain fly is huge plus too. Hopefully I can get some replacement clip to an otherwise good back pack.

I used this backpack during bow season in Utah last year and was very happy with it. I was worried the construction wouldn’t hold up because it is significantly cheaper than any other comparable backpacks that I found but it has not been a problem at all. It has held up to a lot of use so far and has not had a single durability issue. It would be really difficult to find a better bag in this price range.

Chest strap came off the first time I used it. The strap is not securely sew in. It just clamped on and it came off when I try to tighten up.

They are roomy, well built, quiet and comfortable. Me and my sons each have one use them for archery hunting. Good quality, great quality for the everyday hunter.
