I really like this pack. It fits plenty of gear and snacks for the all day hunt. Good weight distribution for the amount of things I bring with me (probably too much). I wish the mesh side pockets weren’t thin mesh. As I think they my not last as long as the rest of the pack. The rain cover was able to cover the entire bag and the shoulder/waist straps when having in the tree. Also coverd the thick seat pad I strap into the top portion of the rifle/bow holder to keep that dry on the hike in and out. The only other thing besides the mesh I would change is the way the waist belt straps pulled to chinch tight. You can get them tight enough but have to pull a little awkwardly. If the straps pulled from the back to the front you could chinch it down tighter much more easily.

Love this pack. Use at least 2days a week in some nasty stuff where my life is on the line with every step (kinda dramatic but north idaho on your own is no joke). I own 4 badlands packs and i usually end up carrying this one for 95% of my usage. Packing out a boned bear or deer and the badlands get the nod, but for every other usage which is most of the year, this one is it. I actually hunt with this one more, just pack out with the badlands on big stuff. The waist band pouches are junk (near impossible one handed operation) and one is near torn off, but i still love all the other features. Cant beat this pack for the money.

To carry your fav weapon, it can do it. For bows I have yet to find one that can carry it with today`s oversize sights and rests but heh.

I have another Alps Outdoorz bag that I really like. This one just didn’t cut it for those few reasons.

The bag has plenty of room and I love the gun carrying ability. The only problem I have had with it is the chest strap / buckel keeps getting off the track and coming off. Without that strap the bag is very uncomfortable it’s fairly easy to put it back in place but it does get aggravating.

Very happy with this purchase. Works great. I have used it hunting the last 2 years archery, regular and muzzleloader season and it is holding together great no problems at all. Bought my son one for Christmas.
