I’m so glad I bought the 1911 Custom II. It is well made. Right off the bat the balance of holding this handgun is perfect. Not too forward-heavy, just right. The wooden grip is a perfect fit with great detail. Surprisingly the mag Adrien exit is very smooth. I thought it would take a bit of breaking in but perfect right off the bat. I also added the 20-round mag but have not used it yet. I don’t know it’s a sensitive trigger like other reviews. I think it’s just right. Only one session in the range but many more to come. Overall very pleased.

The gun looks and feels great, runs target ammo perfect. But that’s where it ends. It will not feed hollow points. And no this isn’t my first 1911. I cleaned it and properly lubed it out of the box. After 200 rounds of target I tried a couple of different hollow points. I could only spare one mag of hornady which did fine as long as you only loaded 7 in the mag. I tried a couple other brands and FTF is all it would do. So, I called Kimber, very nice people, they said it wasn’t broken in yet to run a couple hundred more through it. Still waiting on that…..

This pistol is an ideal conceal/carry gun. I was interested in something that had some weight to it to handle recoil and yet was light enough to tote around in an IWB holster all day. This definitely checked the boxes, plus it hit the “home run” for me because it’s like a miniature government 45 in 9mm. The Micro 9 is accurate and very concealable, I’m very happy with my purchase!
