I took off one star because of the lack of tie down points and the accessory pouches not being removable.

Husband used for hunting and loved it. Used everyday. Held all his stuff. Great quality.

The chest strap is a horrible design. That came off after the 1st time out with this bag. The belt pockets are too far on the back. It would be nicer if they could be adjusted along the belt.

Pretty good for carrying bow hunting gear for a day. I found the workmanship good and the storage capacity is perfect. Nice blaze orange rain fly. Here’s the problems: It’s awkward to set the pack down to get something out of the pockets. The bow’s lower cam is held in a pocket hanging below the bottom of the pack, so the only way to access the inside with the bow on is to lay it on the lumbar pad – this gets grit and stickers into the back pad. In addition, the storage for the quiver is a bit awkward. Also, the weight of the bow on the pack makes accessing the outer pocket awkward. I worry about the sight being knocked out of its setting, as the sight’ constantly gets pressure while hiking. Also, the bow rubs a hole in the outside of the pack as you hike with it. The belt pockets are nice, but interfere with a natural arm swing while walking.

Asked if the hip belt was removable to the hunting community, three people replied that it was NOT removable, but it IS easily removable. Not sure why people think it’s not. Removable hip belt is mandatory as far as i am concerned for a good day pack i never need the hip belt.
