I haven’t hunted with it yet, but I’ve tested it in the range and used it for detecting wildlife in the dark when hiking with my children this summer. There wasn’t much info on them when I decided to order, so it was a pig in a poke, but I was seduced by the price and I am not disappointed. Cows can be identified at 400-500 yards, haven’t met deer so far, need to check. Can’t wait to take it out for a coyote hunt…

The scope exceeded my expectations for quality and battery life. There is an issue with the recoil causing the screen to freeze and I have to turn it off and on to get it to work again. But the customer service rep over at ATN was happy to assist with getting it back to have it fixed. Even then I do not mind having to turn it off and on to get the advantage of being able to see in pitch black night. First night hunting took out every hog I aimed at which told me the zero was holding well. Be sure to get thermal targets for sighting, it will make it much easier to zero in.Can’t wait to get it back from service so I can get back to the live action.

I got two of these so my friends could hunt with me. They are so simple and get the job done. Batteries have been lasting about three hunts for us, roughly 2-3 hours a night. I like that there’s no focus, adjusting the focus on some of my nicer thermals can be a pain. I have a Thor 384 and a trail and I’d put this scope slightly below the Thor in image quality and detection.
