The design premise for the Viktos Kadre Backpack was to create the ultimate go bag. One high volume bag to carry a full cache worth of guns, gear, and ammo. The backpack needed to be tough, provide modular mounting options, accept full-size rifles and pistols, support loads of ammo, and still, present a low-vis optic for carry in urban areas. Functionally it needed to be tactical without screaming military-style or reading like every overtly-tactical bag on the market. It is capable of storing rifles up to 35″ in length with barrel extension shroud.
The rifle can be lashed to the vertical Velcro MOLLE with the included dual-side Velcro straps for secure carry. An internal frame sheet provides both support for the weight of the rifle and also a barrier between wearer and bag contents. Two interior padded pistol pockets fit a full-size with room for extra magazines. The inner flap is equipped with an integrated compression sack for apparel, providing quick access, and segmenting your soft goods within the main compartment.

I like the overall design of the back pack. Lots of storage space and webbing for attaching and carrying gear. Padding and weigh t are comfortable. Chest strap design is flawed. Adjusting straps should be more permanently mounted. The slip on collar comes off easily and each time weakens. Finally ripped the nylon on the cord. Less than 4 months in. It’s a 5 star back pack.

I have been using this backpack for over a week now while hunting in Colorado. I had to replace my old backpack which just gave out after 10 years of use. Just has a convenient shelf that you can put your quick access items. the main compartment not only holds a large amount of gear, but it also holds a water bag and hose.

This is a great all purpose day pack! I took it on a javelina in Arizona in Feb. The only draw back was that it didn’t come with a bladder. This I guess was good though because I purchased a 3 liter and it lasted me all day. Surprisingly the pack actually insulated the bladder quite well and I had cold water from 6AM until 3PM. It held my gun securely all day the only issue I did find was that I had to tighten the straps a couple times. I would recommend this pack to anyone for a day long hike. I was out all day and had only used about 1/3 of the capacity of the pack. Buy it you can’t beat it for the price.
