The EOTech EXPS2 Transverse Law Enforcement and Military Holographic Red Dot Sight is the shortest model available from EOTech. It runs on a single CR123A battery which provides up to 600 hours of continuous runtime at setting 12. The EXPS leaves tons of rail space available for mounting flip-up iron sights or a magnifier and the integral mount allows for use on either a Weaver or Picatinny-style rail. The EOTech EXPS2 is not compatible with night vision devices.

Love the sight, it is great quality. However, the XPS 2-0 in FDE description says it includes a QD mount, however, it does not. Mine has a thumb screw. It still locks up tight and doesn’t move, however, just something to note. I believe optics planet screwed up the description.

I ordered this optic for a PCC build and it’s perfect. Shipping time was good. Price was good. I didn’t order the quick detach this time because it will be permanent optic for this weapon but I will get it next order. I would recommend this product and will more than likely purchase another one.

Started shooting a carbine in 3GN competitions, I use a 1-4x 30mm scope on my rifles which was just too big for the carbine. Went through a couple less expensive tube style red dots but they didn’t work as well as the round reticle sight on my long rifle scopes. The Eo had the round halo reticle and a big sight glass that was fast and easy to align on pick-up. Almost got the magnifier but had used another type and didn’t like it hanging off the side blocking my view during close engagements, but with the big sight glass, I didn’t need it for the 75 yard plate rack. For an AR if your going longer than 100yds, the mag and multi dot reticle may be better, but then go with a real scope. I like it allot more than the ACOG I carried overseas. For short range 3GN work (in the Southeast) this is a great sight. There is a reason this sight is so popular with LE and Mil.

I have always wanted a eotech red dot sight I was not disappointed it works great you can keep both eyes open and use your flip up sights its easy to switch from one weapon to another I mainly use it on my ar-15 but have used it on my smith & Wesson 500 pistol I am very pleased with my purchase.

Eotech is king when it comes to non-magnified optics. The glass is exceptionally clear and the construction is bombproof. I understand the thermal-shift issues people have reported several years ago, however for, my application it’s perfect!

I was introduced to Eotech 2 years prior and was smitten at first sight. Because they come with a price tag not for the meek or faint of heart, I knew more research and saving Pennie’s was in order. Months later, I had the opportunity to use an AR equipped with one for some range time. And the rest is history. Since they are an American company and make their products in California, it’s no coincidence that the US military and many law enforcement agencies use Eotech products. If that isn’t enough, they were also the first to pioneer the holographic tech so you can be assured that the tech is solid and the product is made of the best materials. Do the research and drop the wad, it’s worth every penny.
