Goex FFFg (or 3Fg) is suited for Rifles (50-caliber and smaller), Pistols and Revolvers. While Goex has improved manufacturing processes and material quality, they have manufactured black powder using traditional materials to provide the same great ignition characteristics and uniform speed that master shooters and hunters have relied on for over 200 years. Goex Black Powder is available in different granular sizes to tailor performance to a specific firearm. From FFFFg (smallest) to Cannon (largest), Goex has a granulation size for your firearm.
Warnings from the Manufacturer:
- Do not exceed the loads displayed in the reloaders guide.
- Never mix any two powders regardless of type, brand, or source.
- Never substitute any smokeless powder for Black Powder or any Black Powder substitute.

The real stuff
I have been shooting BP guns (rifles, pistols, shotguns, flint and cap locks) since I was 18 yrs old. I am now 47. Never ever have I had a problem with Goex BP. I use the FFF in my flintlocks, both to load and prime with. Use real BP in your guns if you can. The “fake” stuff works, but you will have far less problems with true BP. (Ie misfires)

The Goex powder
Goex black powder is powerful, consistent and has been my go-to power for decades. Thanks to Midway for having the powder available.

Yes I would buy this product again.
I have been using goes FF and FFF since the 70’s, in my muzzle loading rifle and in my black powder revolvers. I have a new , never been fired Thompson Center Patriot and I can’t wait to use it in it. I target shoot and hunt with goex black powder. I always have great results with goex and don’t see any reason to use any substitutes.

The real deal gunpowder
No need to look any further. This is the real stuff and although messy the fouling is easier to clean than the subs. GOEX is made in the USA unlike the other real gunpowders on the market

Goex Black Powder has been my favorite since boyhood years.
I use Goex in all of my muzzleloaders, including historical artillery for battle reenactments. Good stuff! The only downside about Goex applies to any brand of ‘holy black..’ it is very volatile, easy to set off when used carelessly. I say this for the safety benefit of first time users!!

Great revolver powder
Great powder for revolvers and small caliber rifles. Actually much cleaner and less corrosive than pyrodex!
