The Patriot Cerakote line from Mossberg is a combination of a weather-resistant, black synthetic stock, and a barrel and bolt finished with Cerakote Stainless (H-Series) firearm coating, providing enhanced protection from abrasions, chemicals and corrosion.
The Patriot Cerakote bolt-action rifle is built upon Mossberg’s proven twin-lug, push-feed machined-steel action and is fed from a lightweight polymer, flush box magazine with 4-round capacity. The 22-inch button-rifled barrel is constructed of carbon steel, free-floating and has straight-edge fluting and protective recessed muzzle crown. This value-rich rifle also comes with Mossberg’s patented Lightning Bolt Action™ (LBA™) user-adjustable trigger with a 2 to 7 pound range of adjustment. Spiral-fluted bolt, ergonomic bolt handle, Weaver-style bases and sling swivel studs round out the standard features.
The stock on the Patriot Cerakote is designed for durability and comfort. Constructed from rugged synthetic, the Patriot stock is ready to battle the elements. Textured stippling on the grip and all three sides of forend provide an aggressive surface for a solid grip. The straight comb, rounded edges and raised cheekpiece reduce felt recoil aided by the black rubber recoil pad. A polymer block insert with integral magazine well provides an effective bedding platform.

Consistent to better than consistent with the reviews I read. Finish OK, everything seems to function. Have not been able to shoot it yet. Appears to be a case of you get what you pay for. An affordable AND AVAILABLE AR. Exactly as described/promised. No loose parts found. Saw complaints that no magazine was included. If this is your first AR, go buy a few. They are not expensive. If this is your 2nd, 3rd….. AR then you have likely enough magazines already. Summary – An AR available for under $1,000. What could you possibly not like?

I ordered this rifle from Midway USA and have owned it two weeks now and put 50 rounds of ammo through it. Both this Bergara B-14 and my Savage 110 Desert Tactical produces 3/8″- 1/2″ groups at 100 yards with my reloads using Hornady 140 ELD-X bullets, CCI 200 primers, and IMR 4350 or Alliant Reloader 19 powder in Hornady 6.5 Creedmoor cases. The Bergara B-14 HMR has a heavier barrel and much better stock but the Savage 110 has the superior trigger. Both of these fine rifles are keepers.

Bought this featherweight to add a light rifle for local game and target shooting. I love the walnut stock and the balance of the gun in my hands, haven’t had a chance to find the optimal load for this rifle but have every confidence it will perform admirably! Love the trigger and the smoothness of the action, I would buy another rifle like this if I find a need.

I have some other rifles that will shoot even much more accurately, but I would never hunt with them. I have 4 Winchester Super Grade rifles that with diligent load development all shoot well below 2cm 7 shot groups (the minimum number for an accurate statistical analysis. The asinine 3 shot group is only for gun writers/marketing advertisers. These groups are with full power hunting loads generally with heavier than normal bullets. Unless there is a large exit hole guaranteed, the chances of ever finding even heart shot game are slim to none. In hunting, only absolute reliability counts.
