Arrived UPS a day earlier than expected. Opened the box (virtually no packing material) and pulled out the Trijicon box. Appeared to have been previously opened? Installed the battery and looked thru sight. Was expecting a pretty round dot, not a squiggly ugly line. Asked my wife to look thru it and tell me what she saw. A squiggly line. Well, this is the second time I purchased a high-end sight from OP only to receive a defective item. Yes. They promptly address the issue, but if I wanted my items a month in the future I would order them a month in the future. Maybe I’m just the lucky one who gets the broken junk. Does not make me happy and makes me wonder what’s going on at OP.

This is such a high quality little reflex sight. I purchased it to mount on my home defense shotgun, which I have no doubts that it will stand up to the abuse. The dot is crisp and clear and the field of view is great. I definitely feel that I would go no bigger or smaller than the 3.25 MOA dot for the application I am using it for. The brightness adjustment settings are simple and intuitive. The 2 lowest settings are apparently compatible with night vision. I like how you can turn off the red dot as well to further conserve battery life. I also like how it uses a common CR2032 battery. It is also very light and compact on top of that.

On a range gun you get the best you can afford…. but if it’s for competition or ESPECIALLY if your life depends on it RMR is the way to go!

Great product. Easy to use. Arrived in a nice box with a manual and tool for installation. I have no issues with it. This is my 4th one on my 4th handgun. Don’t be fooled by made in China imitators. Trijicon is the best.

The RMR is a game changer for pistol accuracy. Mounted one on a G19 and now a Beretta 92A1, using the Trijicon dovetail mounting plate. Red dot automatically adjusts to to ambient light. This optic does for pistols what the ACOG did for rifles. Well worth the price. Automatic ambient light adjustment works incredibly well.

The only other MRDS to even remotely consider would be the Leupold DeltaPoint Pro, but even that doesn’t hold a candle to the RMR.

I was looking for a small optic to install on a pistol. After reading many reviews, I decided to go with the RMR. It mounted easily and was quick to sight in. It is built like a tank and should last a very long time. I was a little hesitant about the blue tint on of the glass, but I don’t notice it at all while shooting. Some have complained about have to remove the sight to replace the batteries, but I don’t see it being that big of a deal having to reconfirmed zero every few years.

While I still believe rmrs yo be durable as I’ve used them for years with no issues, my type 2 came with a scratched lense. It can only be seen in certain lighting conditions but when it rears it’s ugly head it is very distracting. I’m going ask optics planet to exchange it. Hopefully they take care or if.

Got this optic for under $400 on Black Friday, and its been awesome. Right around 3k rounds throught my G19 with this RMR and no issues. Crisp dot, no issues so far. Will definitely get another for future pistols.

no shake awake or emitter protection. Should be standard for this level and price of optic. I’ve listed what’s wrong but the sight is nice, rugged, and if you get a good one easy to adjust the brightness if transitioning into different lighting.
